Annual fund raising through padayatra/running (2020)
Like before, with the grace of Divine mother, Lord Venkata, Lord Narasimha, Lord Rama, Lord Siva, Mother Parvathi, Lord Garuda and Lord Hanuman, I have planned for the following events;
- “90 kms sivalaya ottam” on the occasion of Maha Sivarathri in Feb 2020
- 3 days padayatra to Sholinghur from chennai (Mar 2020, ~110 kms)
- 3 days padayatra to Maduranthakam from chennai (Apr 2020, 100 kms)
What I’ve committed to:
As someone who has the privilege of receiving a fine life, I’ve committed to walking/running ~300 kms and raising a sizeable amount for the “spiritually oriented service organization” that I am proudly associated with (details are given below)

§ The Vivekananda Kendra Rural Development Programme, as you are aware, has taken up large scale work based on culture and development in the five districts of Southern Tamil Nadu — Balwadies, Medical Centres, Tailoring Units, Cultural Compititions, Cultural Classes, Youth Programs, Vivekananda Academy of Cultural Studies , Women’s Activities, Self help group, Amrit Surabhi, The Kendra has installed 125 Hand Pumps for drinking water purpose and deepened 2 well in five districts etc (https://www.vkrdp.org/p/about-us.html)
We are concentrating on youth, women and children of rural areas especially in the fields of culture, nutrition and health. The Rural Development Programme team has two Life workers, 34 Social workers, 150 Balasevikas, 75 Ayas, 3 doctors and 20 other associates. Kindly visit the work and see the work for yourself.
We are sure you would associate yourself in this Nation Building and Man making venture as envisaged by Swami Vivekananda and planned and started by Ma. Eknathji.
