Recently, Bollywood actor, Nawazuddin Siddique complained about the quality of content in OTT and his decision to withdraw. I am not sure about the one, he is mentioning. The international OTTs are churning out blockbuster serials with a firm emphasis on quality.

One such is the web series in NetFlix, “Manhunt: Unabomber”. Having lived in the USA, I did follow this case assiduously. FBI is one org that pursues its targets seriously and at all expenses. Their policy of not negotiating with the terrorists is an admirable one. The concept of linguistic profiling is virtually invented by them and used to the best extent in this case.

This series is a mixture of fact and a heavy dose of fiction. Sam Worthington (his deadpan looks suit the role and he resembles Christian Bale in certain angles) is a sure-fit for the FBI analyst role. But the role of Paul Bettany as the villain, Ted Kaczynski was a sure-revelation. While acting in the movie Devdas, SRK mentioned getting into the induced zone and how he took time to come out of that. Such a type of method of acting leads to depression in the individuals. It was a brave effort from Ted, oops, Paul B.

Leave it to the Hollywood scriptwriters and they will chisel a story out of the simple Alphabets. Such stories are God-sent opportunities for them. They brought out the dynamics amongst the players very well. At one point, I got restless and fast-forwarded to see the enactment of poetic justice.

If you are patient enough, the viewing will be an absolute delight. It is full of simple, mind-boggling, bold, no-witty, and incisive conversations. Are you game for that?
