Linga Mudra

How to do: Formed by inter-locking the palm and keeping the left thumb erect, pointing upwards

Other Key Benefits:

  1. Ailments caused due to over production of mucus (சளி) such as wet cough, cold, sinusitis can be cured
  2. May help in relieving breathing difficulty

Guidelines for Mudra Therapy

  1. Offer your prayers to Istha/Kula Devatha and start the practice
  2. Fingers not actively involved in the mudra should be comfortably straight
  3. Mudras can be performed by anybody and facing any direction. Mudras are universal
  4. When a problem is resolved, the specific therapeutic mudras are to be discontinued

Linga mudra increases the heat in the body. So it has be performed only for 15 minutes or less. Drink lots of liquids like water, milk, fruit juices, butter milk etc after performing this mudra. Any one suffering from acidity, fever and stomach ulcers should not perform this mudra. This mudra is to be performed only till the problem persists and then it should be discontinued
